Sensory Subscription FAQ


What should I do if I haven't received my box?

Boxes are shipped with the first business 3-5 days of the month. If you have not received your box by the 10th of the month, please sign into your subscription dashboard and check the current month's tracking.  All subscriptions are shipped via UPS or USPS.  If you have any issues, don't hesitate to email the shop.

What if my payment didn't go through?

You can log into your subscription portal to update your billing information. Please send us a message ASAP if you have issues updating your payment. Our system will automatically attempt billing each day for a total of 8 attempts. After that your subscription will automatically be paused.

We can not guarantee shipment on failed payments after the 15th of the month.

Do monthly subscriptions automatically renew?

No. We will send a reminder to renew prior to your subscription expiring. The end of May for mid year 6 Month Subscriptions, or October for 6 and 12 Month New Year Subscriptions. Please make sure you check confirmation emails and provide all of the correct information.

All subscriptions will need to be renewed at the end of the calendar year. A reminder email will be sent.

What if I move and need to change my shipping address?

No problem!  Just log into your customer portal and subscription dashboard to change your shipping address prior to ship date. Fee free to message the shop at time if you need assistance.

How will I know what's in my box each month?

The week before your box ships, we will send out an email with photos, descriptions, and suggestions for extended learning resources.
Please make sure you sign up for emails and add us to your contacts.

How do add-ons work?

Add-ons are available to purchase with your subscription and shipped with your box. You can choose to add on an extra ban sensory bin filler, a Birdie and Bug nature craft pack, or both.

Can I cancel my subscription?

No. Once a subscription has been purchased we do not offer cancellations, returns, or exchanges.

At what age are these sensory boxes appropriate?

Sensory boxes contain loose parts and are not recommended for children under 3 yrs of age. Small pieces may be a choking hazard and require adult supervision during play.
We recommend sensory boxes for ages 3-8 years of age.

Why is shipping so expensive for Canadian residents?

As requested, Subscription Boxes are now shipping to Canada. Unfortunately, over the past year the cost to ship internationally has skyrocketed. We have absorbed 20% of the cost and custom fees for Canadian residents, but will require a $25 shipping fee for each subscription box.

What type of Bin Fillers and Loose Parts should I expect each month?

We use mostly taste safe (not edible) and always non toxic bin fillers. Some examples are Corn Kernels, Soybeans, Rice, Dry Beans, Oats, Cornmeal, Cloud Dough (Flour Base), Dry Pasta.
Many bin fillers are dyed using food safe coloring or non toxic water colors. While most bin fillers will not transfer color to hands, you may have some colorful fingers (especially if they are a little wet).  This color should easily wash off with soap and water.

Our hope is that everything in your box can be used, reused, and recycled through play.
