Returns, Exchanges & Damaged Items

We want you to be happy with your Chickadees purchase. Please read the policies below before placing your order, as return eligibility varies by product.

Standard Items

We gladly accept returns or exchanges on eligible items if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

Please contact us before returning your item. Returns must be received within 30 days of purchase and must be returned in their original, unused, and undamaged condition.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will issue a refund or exchange as applicable.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for returns or exchanges made for reasons other than damage or an error on our part. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

If an item is returned used, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise not in its original condition, the customer may be responsible for any loss in value.

Subscriptions

Due to the specially prepared and curated nature of our monthly subscription boxes, subscription purchases are final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

This applies to Playful Minds subscription boxes and other recurring subscription products.

Cancellation of future subscription renewals is separate from our return policy and is subject to the terms of your subscription plan.

Rainbow Collection

Our Rainbow Collection is made to order especially for you. Because production begins specifically for your order, Rainbow Collection purchases are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Please carefully review product descriptions, colors, sizes, and other options before placing your order.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Occasionally, despite our careful quality checks, an item may be damaged during transit or we may miss something before it leaves our shop. If that happens, we will make it right.

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide:

• Your order number

• A photo of the damaged or incorrect item

• A photo of the packaging

For eligible damaged, defective, or incorrect items, Chickadees Wooden Toys will provide a prepaid return shipping label when a return is required. We will work with you to arrange a replacement, exchange, or refund as appropriate.

Please do not return a damaged item before contacting us.

Changed Your Mind or the Item Wasn't What You Expected

We understand that shopping online can be different from seeing something in person.

Eligible standard items may be returned within the 30-day return period. Please contact us before sending your return.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for returns made because of a change of mind, personal preference, or because an item was not what they expected.

Subscriptions, made-to-order Rainbow Collection items, custom or personalized products, and sale items are not eligible for return or exchange for these reasons.

Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns or exchanges on:

• Playful Minds and other subscription purchases

• Rainbow Collection items, which are made to order

• Custom or personalized products

• Sale or final-sale items

Exceptions will be made when an eligible item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

A Note About Our Handmade Products

Please remember that you are purchasing handmade goods. Natural variations are part of what makes each Chickadees piece unique.

Colors, wood grain, shapes, finishes, and small details may vary slightly from the photographs shown online. These natural and handmade variations are not considered defects.
